You know Elements Casino Mohawk, the room at Guelph Line and the 401. Pickering Casino Resort sits on the far side of the GTA, at 888 Durham Live Avenue in Pickering. It is 85 km east-northeast of Mohawk. That is a straight line, not road distance.

OLG opened the casino on July 26, 2021. The 275-room hotel followed in January 2023, and the resort held its grand opening on April 26, 2023. There is also a 2,500-person venue called The Arena.

Poker, Parking and the Door

In normal times, the poker room sits on the hotel's third floor and is open 24/7. You park for free, either in the multi-level garage or on the outdoor lot. Great Canadian's Casino Shuttle also serves Pickering, by reservation. It picks up at Markville on Bullock Drive, Milliken GO on Redlea Avenue and Scarborough Town Centre.

At the door, you need an original government-issued photo ID that is valid, along with a second piece of photo ID. Entry is 19 and over. The resort is part of Great Canadian Rewards, the same card you carry at Mohawk. The guide does not list slot or table counts.
