My PlayBreak and BetGuard
OLG's self-exclusion program is called My PlayBreak. To begin it for casinos, you can phone 1-800-387-0098, the OLG Support Centre line. An email to Self-Exclusion@olg.ca also does it, as does a word with staff at the casino.
For casinos, a term lasts anywhere from 3 months to 5 years. Signing up includes a photo, which casinos pair with facial recognition cameras. That part is worth knowing before you sign, so nothing surprises you later.
Online play has its own system. BetGuard went live on May 14, 2026, as Ontario's centralized self-exclusion covering every regulated online gaming site. If you are 19 or older, you can enrol at BetGuard.ca and pick a term that runs 6 months to 5 years.
